What this policy covers

This policy covers the website at uzicestudio.com and email correspondence with the studio. It does not cover other websites you may reach from a link here; those have their own policies.

It is written in plain language rather than legal formulae, and it is not legal advice.

What the enquiry form collects

The enquiry form asks for three things and offers five more. Along with your answers it records which language you wrote in and which page you sent from, so a reply can open in the right language. Nothing else about you is collected.

  • Your name — required
  • Your email address — required
  • A description of the project — required
  • Your business name — optional
  • Your current website — optional
  • The package you are interested in — optional
  • An approximate budget range — optional
  • Your preferred timing — optional

What it is used for

  • Reading your enquiry and replying to it
  • Working out whether the project is one I can do well
  • Preparing a conversation, a written proposal, or the work itself
  • Preventing misuse of the form and keeping the site technically secure

How the form is delivered

When you press send, the website passes your enquiry to Resend, the email delivery service the studio uses, which delivers it as an email to hello@uzicestudio.com. That mailbox is operated through Namecheap Private Email, so the message is received and stored there.

The address you gave is set as the reply address on that email, which is what lets a reply go straight back to you. Alongside the answers you typed, the email records which language you wrote in, the page you sent from and the time it arrived.

Resend is configured to send from its Ireland region (eu-west-1). That is the configured sending region rather than a guarantee about every part of the service.

The Opportunity Room

The Opportunity Room is a separate form for a personal first assessment of your website. It asks whether your business has a website and, if so, its public address; the business name, what the business does and its main location or market; what the website most needs to achieve, with an optional explanation; your name, your email address and, if you choose, a telephone number; the language you would like the reply in; and your agreement to the consent statement shown in the form.

Along with your answers it records the language the form was completed in, the page it was sent from, any campaign parameters in the page address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), the time it was sent and the exact wording of the consent you gave.

This information is used only to review the public website you named and to reply to your request. The website address you give is read by a person: nothing on this site visits, scans or analyses it automatically. You are not added to any mailing list.

It is delivered in the same way as the enquiry form — passed by the website to Resend and delivered as an email to hello@uzicestudio.com, where it is stored in the studio mailbox — and it is kept for the same period, described under “How long information is kept”.

To limit misuse, the Opportunity Room’s server code reads the network address your request comes from and immediately turns it into a one-way, salted fingerprint; the address itself is not kept. The fingerprint is held only in the server’s working memory — never on disk and never in a log — to count attempts within a ten-minute window. After that window it is discarded, at the latest the next time the form is used or when the server instance shuts down, and it cannot be turned back into the address.

The Presence Check

The Presence Check is a free, automatic check of a public website. You enter a website address and choose the kind of business. The site then reads that one public start page and passes the address to Google PageSpeed Insights, a Google service that tests how the page performs on a phone. Only the website address goes to Google, nothing about you.

To show the concept preview, your browser loads the logo and the image directly from the website you entered, so that website receives the usual connection data from your browser.

The result is held in the server’s working memory for up to 20 minutes, so that the full report can open without measuring the page again, and is then discarded. It holds the website address and what was measured, nothing about you.

Your browser also receives an encrypted, signed copy of the result. It stays in the open page’s memory only, is not written to your device and is gone when you close or reload the page. You cannot read it, and the server accepts it for 60 minutes at most, to open the full report if another server answers your second step. Once that time has passed it can no longer be used, but a copy still open in your browser is not erased from there by the server. Where this copy is not switched on, or cannot be used, the page is measured once more when you request the report.

To open the full report you give your email address, your name if you choose, and your agreement to the consent statement shown in the form. These are sent together with the result, the language of the page and the time and exact wording of your consent as an email to hello@uzicestudio.com and stored in the studio mailbox. The email is sent through the studio’s own Namecheap Private Email mailbox or, if that is not possible, through Resend as described above. It is used only to contact you about this result. You are not added to any mailing list, and it is kept for the same period, described under “How long information is kept”.

If a lead list is switched on, your name if given, your email address, the website address, the kind of business, the language, the scores and the time of your consent are also sent to a list the studio keeps to follow up Presence Check requests. That list may be a Google Sheet, in which case Google stores it for the studio and may do so outside Switzerland, including in the United States. It is used for the same purpose and kept for the same period as the email.

Misuse protection works as in the Opportunity Room: the network address your request comes from is turned at once into a one-way fingerprint, used to count checks within ten minutes and report requests within an hour. The address itself is never stored. Normally the fingerprint is held only in the server’s working memory and discarded after that window. Where a shared store is switched on, so that the limits apply across all of the site’s servers, the fingerprint is also kept as a counter with Upstash, a database service that may be connected through Vercel, and is deleted automatically after ten minutes or one hour.

So that the studio is told only once when the same request is sent again, a one-way fingerprint of your email address together with the website address is kept for 24 hours: in the server’s working memory and, where the shared store is switched on, with Upstash. Neither address is stored there in readable form.

Email correspondence

The studio mailbox at hello@uzicestudio.com is operated through Namecheap Private Email, which receives and stores mail sent to the studio, whether it arrives through the form or because you wrote directly.

Namecheap confirmed in writing on 26 August 2026 that mailbox content, attachments, account information, backups, technical logs and metadata are stored at a PhoenixNAP data centre in the United States, and that the international transfers involved are covered using Standard Contractual Clauses.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any host, Vercel processes technical connection data such as an IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and the browser and operating system your device reports, so that pages can be delivered and the service kept secure.

The site's own code stores none of it. The only places it reads the address at all are the misuse protections of the Opportunity Room and the Presence Check described above, which keep a short-lived fingerprint, in memory or, where the Presence Check’s shared store is switched on, with Upstash, and never the address itself. No device identifier and nothing about how you browse is recorded.

Cookies, tracking and browser storage

This website sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising or conversion tracking, no social media pixels, no embedded video or maps, and no third-party scripts of any kind. Nothing is written to your browser storage.

Both typefaces are built into the site itself rather than requested from an external font service, so simply reading a page does not send a request to any other company.

That is why you are not being asked to accept cookies: there is nothing to consent to.

Website analytics: planned, not active

There is currently no website analytics on this site. Nothing described in this section is running today, and the paragraph above remains accurate: no analytics script is installed and no measurement of your visit takes place. This section is written in advance so that it is already here if that changes.

Metricool is used by the studio for scheduling social-media posts. That is an account the studio logs into; it involves no code on this website and no data about your visit. Metricool also offers a separate website-analytics tracker, and installing it is under consideration for a later stage. It would only be added after a separate decision to do so, and this policy would be updated and dated before it went live.

If that tracker were activated, it would be used to measure how the site is being found and read: how many visits it receives, which pages are visited, and which sources that traffic arrives from. According to Metricool’s own documentation, the tracker is a JavaScript snippet that runs in your browser and sends the visit to Metricool’s servers. It would process the address of the page you viewed together with information about the visit, and it would use your IP address to determine the country you are visiting from. Metricool also states that it uses IP information when working out how many unique visitors a site has had.

Metricool states that this tracker does not set cookies. That statement is about cookies specifically, and it should not be read more widely than it is meant: it does not mean that no personal data would be processed, that the measurement would be anonymous, or that nothing would need to be disclosed. An IP address is information about a person, which is why it is named here. Whether a consent banner would be required is a separate question that would be settled before anything was installed, not assumed away by this paragraph.

If the tracker is activated, the rights described below would apply to it exactly as they apply to everything else in this policy, and a request about it can be made in the same way — by writing to hello@uzicestudio.com.

Who else sees your information

Your enquiry is read by Sebastian Uzice. It is never sold, rented, or passed to anyone for marketing. Three companies handle it on the way, each for one task only.

  • Vercel, which hosts the site and serves the pages
  • Resend, which delivers the enquiry from the website as an email
  • Namecheap Private Email, which receives and stores mail in the studio mailbox

Transfers outside Switzerland

Mail in the studio mailbox is stored in the United States, because Namecheap stores mailbox data at a PhoenixNAP data centre there. Namecheap states that the international transfers this involves are covered using Standard Contractual Clauses. Since an enquiry ends up in that mailbox, assume your enquiry is stored in the United States.

Resend is configured to send from its Ireland region, and Vercel serves the site from its own network. Neither of those is a guarantee that no data is processed elsewhere; each provider describes its own arrangements in the documents linked above.

How long information is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are normally deleted after 12 months. Correspondence connected with an active or completed project may be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil contractual, accounting or legal obligations.

Your rights

Under Swiss data-protection law you can exercise the following in relation to information held about you.

  • Ask what information is held, and receive a copy of it
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Ask for information to be deleted
  • Object to a particular use, or ask that it be restricted
  • Ask to receive information you provided in a portable form

Making a request

Write to hello@uzicestudio.com and say what you would like. A reply follows within a reasonable time, and there is no charge for an ordinary request. You are also free to raise a concern with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and is built to keep the amount of personal data it touches as small as possible — the strongest protection is not holding information in the first place. No website or email system can be described as completely secure, and no such promise is made here.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the website, its providers or the studio’s data-handling practices change. The date of the latest revision appears at the top of this page.
