Web design for hospitality
Restaurant websites with a clear path to booking.
A restaurant website has to show on a phone, in seconds, what there is to eat, when you are open, how to book and where to park. I design these websites for restaurants, inns, cafés and hotels with a restaurant in Eastern Switzerland, from CHF 1,490.

The first seconds
What guests look for in ten seconds.
Most visits to a restaurant website come from a phone, often on the move and often just before deciding where to eat tonight. In those seconds four things count: the menu, the opening hours, a way to book and directions. If one of them is not there at once, the guest is already on the next search result.
That is why those details sit at the top with me, not behind a welcome text. The design carries the atmosphere of your place; the page delivers the facts without a detour.
- A current menu as a readable page rather than a blurry photo
- Opening hours, rest days and holiday closures in one place
- Reservations in one tap, by phone, form or tool
- Address, parking and public transport
- Lunch menu, seasonal menu or events, where there are any
Menu
A menu that stays current.
I recommend an up-to-date menu as its own webpage with readable text. A PDF or photo of the printed menu can be offered as an additional download.
How often your menu changes decides the solution: a daily lunch menu needs something different from a house with a seasonal menu. How you can change the menu yourself is settled in the discovery call and written into the quote. With Website Care from CHF 149 per month, I make the changes for you.
Reservations
Reservations: phone, form or tool.
For many places the phone is the best reservation system, and a large call button on the phone is all it takes. Others want requests in writing, and then a reservation form helps that asks only what you really need. An additional form starts from CHF 250.
If you already work with a reservation system, I integrate it from CHF 390 without the website depending on it. If you change systems later, the website stays as it is. You are not tied to a tool I chose.
Google profile and reviews.
Many guests see your restaurant first in its Google Business Profile, with reviews, photos and opening hours. Website and profile therefore have to state the same details. The website also provides address, phone and opening hours as structured data, so search engines can place the business correctly.
I show you where profile and website should point to each other. Reviews cannot be bought or promised; but a website that delivers what the profile announces is the best reason to come back.
An honest comparison
Website builder or web designer?
Builders such as Wix or Squarespace are cheap to start with and exactly right for some cafés. You pay a subscription and invest your own time in copy, images and upkeep. The result often looks like the template it came from.
With me you pay a fixed price for a website that looks like your place, whose structure is thought through and whose technology has been tested on real devices, by keyboard and for load time. If a builder is enough for you, I will tell you in the first conversation.
Cost
What does a restaurant website cost?
A compact one-page website with menu, hours, reservations and directions starts with Presence from CHF 1,490. With separate pages for the menu, events, banquets or hotel rooms, Business from CHF 2,900 fits.
What a website for a host looks like in practice is shown in the case study Villa Coco d’Amour: a holiday villa that needed an address of its own beyond the booking platforms, with published prices and a direct way to enquire. All packages are on Services & Pricing. An overview for hospitality across Eastern Switzerland is on Web design for hospitality in Eastern Switzerland.
Questions from hospitality.
Can I change the menu myself?
That depends on how often and what you want to change. Say so in the discovery call, and the right solution goes into the quote. With Website Care from CHF 149 per month, I make the changes.
Which reservation system should I use?
The one that suits your business. I integrate an existing system from CHF 390; for many places, though, a call button or a simple form is enough.
Do I need a website if I have a Google profile?
The profile shows that you exist. The website shows why people should come: menu, atmosphere, events and answers to the questions guests have before booking. Both should state the same details.
Can the website also be in English?
Yes. A second language starts from CHF 650 and keeps both versions in step, the menu included.
Who takes the photographs?
Real pictures of your dishes, your rooms and your people work best. If good photographs are missing, we agree in the discovery call who will create them.
More guests, fewer questions.
